Nano Coating Technology Hearing Aids

Behind the ear hearing aid P 640S Digital Hearing Aid
Nano Coating Technology – the first line of defence against moisture invading your hearing aid Our new ‘P’ series hearing aids from HearingDirect (P640S, P680MW and P680RW) all come equipped with a vital defensive barrier against sweat, oil and humidity, otherwise known as Nano-Coating. Being a polymer layer and a thousand times finer than a human hair, it’s transparent and invisible to the eye but makes such a huge difference to the longevity and functionality of your hearing aid. It’s extremely hardwearing and designed to last the lifetime of the device. Worn as a protective shield, the Nano Coating safeguards both the exterior shell and all internal electronic workings from sweat, wax and condensation. Any humidity is repelled away, rolling off the instrument, rather than soaking into it. As a result, you’ve got the freedom to get on with living life regardless of the weather. Come rain or shine, you can rest assured that your hearing aid will be protected. A word of warning though, if you intend to go swimming or have a shower, you must remove your ‘P’ series hearing aid before you do so. They’re designed to withstand a day in the humid outdoors, not complete submersion. It’s also worth noting that any tubing, adapters or external receivers won’t be equipped with the same protection. In a nutshell, Nano Coating can:
  • Offer a more hygienic solution, as the dirt can’t stick to the coating of the device
  • Provide reliable protection against perspiration and humidity
  • Improve reliability due to less damage from unwanted moisture infiltration
  • Increase longevity thanks to almost no corrosion on electronic components
