At the end of the tube that goes into the ear you will see a number. Printed in blue for the left ear, and red for the right ear. You may see number like this: 0-0.9 or 1-0.9 or 2-0.9 or 3-0.9. Ignore the 0.9 part and look at the number that comes before it. Our photos show a left size 0 example.
-
This number between 0 and 3 is the size you need to order.
More Informations:
-
Corda miniFIT thin tubes (which have a different tip design) can also fit in the same housing as Corda 2 tubings and are interchangeable with them – but they must use the newer Oticon miniFIT Domes. If you replace a Corda2 tubing with a Corda miniFit tubing, the acoustic properties are different and the hearing aid may sound a bit different.
-
Please be very careful to use Oticon Corda domes with Oticon Corda 2 thin tubes and Oticon miniFIT domes with Oticon Corda miniFIT thin tubes. The ends of these two types of tubing are different.
-
Corda 2 tubes are a replacement for the Corda version 1 tubes supplied mainly by the UK's NHS. If you have been using Corda rather than Corda 2 you will need an adapter. We can supply the adapter but please contact us to arrange this.
Please read the following guidance and recommendations from Oticon regarding their accessories:
- Each of the Oticon range of tubes and domes has different acoustic properties and your hearing aid will have been specifically set up for use with a particular type.
- A dome should only ever be attached once – these are push fit – with a friction hold – if a dome ever looks as if it is loose or becomes detached a new dome should be applied.
- Only select the dome and tubing type/size that you currently have. Your ear has been measured for size, whilst your hearing aid has been acoustically programmed to match the dome selection.
- If you're not sure which ones you need, please dont guess, ask before placing your order.
